Key Features
Dynamic Authentication
Regardless of access technology, MSCs can enable dynamic, personalized authentication schemes for your subscribers. From web page logins at public WiFi hot-spots to PPPoE termination for DSL, a single MSC can handle it all. Complex policies using network identifiers like IP (subnet), MAC, VLAN, username (web page) can be easily constructed. Standard AAA compatiable dictionary files are supplied with the MSC.
Effortless Session Management
Dynamic session reporting & changes can be accomplished using MSCs Web Services API (SOAP/XML). Session disconnection, scaling, security, routing and other attributes can be altered in real-time based on business needs. The MSC is ideal for enabling pre-pay, volume (quota) based broadband service plans. With subscriber identity & service awareness, the MSC exceeds conventional network equipment capability to deliver nextgen services.
Service Metering
Inventum's MSC is capable of providing real-time session updates including service type, bytes, time and other session metrics. Updates can be recieved over AAA or be pulled on-demand using Web Services API (SOAP/XML). With capability to accumulate session information with identity and service context, the MSC enables a whole host of new possibilities to roll-out new revenue enhancing broadband services.
