UNIFY SMP
Inventum's UNIFY SMP is an integrated suite of software applications designed to address billing & operational challenges of broadband service providers. UNIFY allows providers to rapidly deliver volume metered, differential bandwidth services based on subscriber identity, traffic flow, location & time of access.
The UNIFY is transforming how broadband operators monetize their access networks by allowing them to go beyond the dumb pipe & explore new personalized subscriber services.
Application Modules
The UNIFY ships with a base software license consisting of the AAA & Subscriber Management System. Operators may then add application modules as required by their business.
- AAA - standards compliant RADIUS server including 3GPP interfaces for mobile core integration.
- Subscriber Management System - hierarchical account management with convergent service mapping. Groups based on demographics, charging models or other attributes. MVNO support.
- Billing & Revenue Management - convergent post pay billing & invoicing engine. Customize invoices & deliver electronically. Support for collections, AR, aging, revenue reports, expiring subscriptions & more.
- Prepay Charging - online charging system for any broadband service. Support real-time rating & charging of Internet, voice or video services. Use as stand-alone deployment or integrate with existing charging platforms such as mobile IN.
- Voucher Management System - manage PIN & one-time-password voucher creation, distribution & inventory. Support electronic wallet top-up, first-use or activation vouchers and service linked top-up.
- Volume Tracking Applications (FUP) - meter usage volume against each service including bytes transferred & time connected. Link to quota based services or fair usage policy. Charge for consumption overage, downgrade or modify services upon hitting quota, circuit breaker plans & other models.
- Subscriber Portal & Helpdesk - complete self-care including service dashboard, bill presentment & payment, service upgrades, payment gateways, alerts, recharges, support tickets & more. Customize using XML API for integration with enterprise portals.
- Reseller Management - manage tiered resellers with automation of discount & margin handling. Retain required control while delegating specific activities to resellers. Provide virtual UNIFY silo for each reseller's operation.
Billing & Network Control in a single solution
Integration with edge routers & policy enforcement (PCEF) systems is often the biggest impediment to quick roll-out of new services. While interfaces are standardized, often the network has been built over many years with heterogeneous equipment making it very difficult to roll-out new standardized services across the entire network.
Inventum helps solve this challenge by offering its MSC service & session controller appliances that can be put to use immediately with the UNIFY for delivering volume metered, differential services.
Benefits of using MSC Controllers with the UNIFY
- No integration required between MSC & UNIFY.
- Deployed MSC as a bump in the wire on existing networks regardless of access technology.
- Greenfield networks can completely eliminate edge routers & expensive broadband RAS (B-RAS) equipment. MSC offers full subscriber traffic aggregation capabilities.
Easy Deployment
Standards compliant integration with all major broadband access systems, service delivery platforms and IT systems. The UNIFY exposes its own XML API and allows interfaces via web services, RADIUS, Diameter, MAP & other 3GPP standards.
Product Editions
The UNIFY is available in multiple editions addressing providers with a subscriber base of less than 10,000 to millions.
- CARRIER Edition - designed for mobile & fixed line operators with millions of subscribers. This edition provides comprehensive functionality.
- ISP & WISP Edition - affordable solution suitable for Internet service providers targeting sub million subscribers. This edition specifically caters to Internet data services & excludes mobile core related functionality.
