The service to be branded CyberPoint brand will help bring high quality, affordable broadband services to retail customers at major public locations, including public call offices (PCO), cyber cafes & airports.

Commenting on the development, Sachin Mehra, Managing Director of Inventum said “we are excited with the opportunity to create one of the world’s largest public access networks. Airtel will be using our next generation MSC controllers and UNIFY billing solutions to realize their vision.”

A revenue sharing agreement was signed between the parties in 2008 and service roll-out commenced in 2009 with Delhi International Airport being the first site to go live.
